9. Compensate for floor irregularities

Assembly
Riving knife
Note:
The riving knife has been correctly set
at the factory. Readjustment prior to ini-
tial operation is only
required should the
riving knife have become misadjusted in
transit.
1. Raise saw blade fully.
2. Turn screw

counterclockwise,
raise table insert and remove.
3. Release locking lever

4. Pull riving knife

out of lower
transport position upwards as far as
the stop.
5. Checking the riving knife:
– Distance between the saw
blade's outer edge and the riving
knife needs to be
3to5
mm.
– The riving knife must be in align-
ment with the saw blade.
Danger!
The riving knife is
one of the safety
devices and must be correctly in-
stalled for safe operation.
Only if realignment of the riving knife
is necessary:
1. Release locking lever

2. Align riving knife

vertically:
Distance between the saw blade's
outer edge and the riving knife
needs to be 3 – 5 mm.
3. Tighten locking lever

Lateral alignment:
riving knife and saw blade

must be
in true alignment.
4. Release three Allen screws

5. Align riving knife

flush with saw
blade.

6. Tighten three Allen screws

7. Secure table insert and lock with
screw

Blade guard installation
1. Raise saw blade fully.
2. Install blade guard

on front
mounting on riving knife

3. Firmly tighten blade guard with lock
lever.
